1st tat

1st tat

Tyler came in for his first tat.  I don’t do a lot of first tats these days, but I tattooed his father ~15 years ago and he told his son he needed to get work from me.  Tyler was easy going and easy to tat, and I am grateful he cared enough to want a tattoo from me and trust an old guy to do it.  I sometimes still feel like that fledgling tattooer who is enthralled in the beginnings of tattoo practice and knowledge, soaking in the excitement of a new era of tattooing.   I hope many of you get similar feelings when tattooing.  Enjoy your new tattoo, Tyler!

Love the tattoo and your work! :D I get a similar feeling while tattooing, I only got my apprentice license recently so I’m still a homonculus pretty much but I’m learning a lot with each tattoo I do. I want to learn everything about the new and old ways of doing things to find what works for me. Gonna keep improving as much as I can till I’m old and rotting!
